Our organic beans sourced from the Vughole washing station, a women’s group in North Kivu region of DR Congo. These beans offer a unique experience perfect for those seeking a smooth and delicious cup of coffee.
The Coopade cooperative supports over 4,500 smallholder farmers, with an average of less than an acre each, including more than 1,700 women. Coopade operates 16 mini washing stations in the Lubero area near Virunga National Park, with six stations, like Vughole, managed by women. Coopade highlights coffee produced exclusively by female farmers, emphasizing their crucial role in coffee production and reinforcing their commitment to peace and sustainability. This initiative offers an alternative to violence by fostering stable, sustainable livelihoods within the community.
